300M 22" came in

Pull the trigger on new set of rims. Old design but my favorites. Put them on to test everything (rims, tires, tpms, handling). Everything feels solid, I'll test drive them for couple more days before storing for winter.
Running H&R 1.2" springs, 12 & 20mm H&R spacers.
Few other things were done up to this point.
Future installs, waiting parts:
Body kit,
Break Performance slotted/cross drilled black rotors with Akebono pads,
MGP caliper covers
Will be getting new steering wheel before spring too.
Thanks for looking.

Looks great! What's the weight on them? Any noticeable loss in acceleration from stock (not sure what size you had before)?

Thanks, based on UPS packaging 85lbs per box, I don't know exact weight. They defiantly much heavier then my 19" I had on before. I didn't feel big difference in acceleration, the handling and over all feel is different, the original tires are run flats so they don't feel the same. I only test drove for about 10 miles 50/50 highway/local, I'll drive couple more days and let you know.

Are you happy with the H&R 1.2"?
How's the ride quality with the 22's and H&R's?

I put H&R back in April and drove all this time with stock rims, the ride was better. Now when I put bigger rims I can say that ride is even better, car feels solid, more stable, hard turns are easier to take. No complains.
Now, the ride is "harder" and Pirellis are pretty noisy tires but I knew that before, this is not my first set of Pirellis. Over all I would put + sign for performance and look and - sign for comfort.

Thanks, those are replicas, the OEM only comes in 20" and only for M models I believe.

Awesome! I was wondering if I should do the 2 in or 1.2 drop. Think I am going to stick with the 20's

I debated the same thing. Ended up going with the 2" drop and glad I did.

Great looking X5! Where in MA are you? My wife and I are going to look at a Sparkling Bronze '12 35 this weekend at Herb Chambers in Boston...don't see that color much so it caught our attention. Love what you've done to yours!
