Not really sure as I didn't try. And the blanket would block the mounting points anyway so if anything the blanket would have to go on top of the heat shield.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Red Star...I don't see where Supersprint has an option for X5M...unless they do outside the US...

I appreciate the OP's post, I really like how you wrapped (or didn't) the corner trim on the rear bumper...
The red star and the SuperSprint are available in two different configurations for the E70 X5M and both available in the States. I'll send you some links.
