Respectfully disagree with this statement . You have to be able to put that power down. There is a lot more to it than just strapping a big engine to a car.

come back to me when you actually own an M.

sorry to break it to you but an X6 5.0i does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds whereas an X6 M does it in 4.5 seconds. 0.7 seconds and 155hp plus a better transmission makes a HUGE difference.

clearly, you don't have a clue about engineering. and with that logic, you probably thought that the elise was a waste of sheet metal since it only has around 200HP. ever here of a small figure called a "power/weight" ratio?

anyone who knows anything about BMW, knows that the "official" 0-60 numbers they release are notoriously conservative. with that said, your 5.0 must feel like a beast, but that M must be a maniac. although i would like to see a head to head comparison of the 5.0 vs the 5.5M.

Ha...I beg to differ. I guess it isn't fair because my X6 50 isn't stock but I just ran a 12.8 at 107..it's close enough

im not surprised though, 555 HP will make this happen to an SAV
My X5M ran a 12.605 @ 108 in the most perfect of conditions. Otherwise I have one 12.795 and a dozen 12.80's.

@OP that driver had a very good launch

the video below shows an X5 with 620HP doing 12.3 at 178KM/H (110MPH). 70HP increase but it still does the same speed in the 1/4?

Actually, you're both wrong here.

Whatever badges it has, it's ACTUALLY a Holden HSV (most probably a GTS) made right here in Australia...
