100k mile curse.
My '05 X5 3.0 is 23 miles shy of 100k. This is my fifth BMW. (My Z4 being my 6th.) All of them have been pretty much problem free to 100k miles. Then the trouble always starts. Usually around 150k I can't stand it any longer and trade them in on something newer. I've been dreading this X5 hitting 100k because it's been one of the more dependable cars I've owned. But tonight the dreaded SES light came on for no apparent reason. It's been running like a champ and still sounds solid and quiet. No idea what the reason for this is. It needs an oil service anyway, so I guess it goes in for that and see what the damages are for the SES.

My problems always start super early, or super late.
