OEM Performance Package??
Hi Folks- New to me 2011 X6 50i owner here doing a little research on OEM engine upgrades... I see the 7RR Engine Performance Pkg. is available for the 2008-2010.. I don't believe its compatible with the new 8spd tranny setup...
What is confusing me is the fact BMW offers the M performance package as a new car option for the 8spd 2013... This M performance package is supposed to amoung other things provide 40 or so more HPs just like the 7RR package... However from what I've found you cannot buy the engine software upgrade as an add on for a 2011 or 2012... What gives? Aren't the 2011/2012/2013 4.4 TT engines the same? Anyone familiar with OEM engine upgrade options? I'm researching DINAN and others as well but for the moment am trying to get my arms around OEM options.. Thanks much, Max |

I would love to know the answer too. I own X6 50i 2012 and when i went to the dealer they told me "we are sorry but your car is not compatible with bmw power kit" I told them that my friend owns X6 50i 2010 and you guys installed it in his car, so what's the difference? he simply said I don't know.
AFAIK both have the same engine. |
