That X5M is worth almost $$100k when new. $30k is a damn good bargain for a 550 hp car !!

I noticed you said you work on your cars, look at the picture below (that's actually a n63 but the engine in the M is nearly identical looking) if that doesn't scare you then go for it (or get one hell of a 3rd party warranty).

Working on the N63/S63 isn't too bad but it is ultra time consuming, as you can see, you have to spend hours removing layers of hoses and wiring just to get to anything.

I spoke with a sales rep on Tuesday regarding the second vehicle (Spokane bmw). He was advising me that someone wanted to put a deposit on the car to purchase it, but wanted to give me a heads up since I inquired first (I inquired last week). Guess that person closed the deal.

First one has bad color combo, beige with wood, that's why probably isn't sold for long time.
But if you still plan to proceed, arrange PPI by the phone as they already suggested to you.
After that, if price of issues needed to be done doesn't scare you, fly over there and make a deal.

Actually I like the light beige seat color and wood trim . Sort of like the high end luxury cars have. Darker seats get pretty hot in summer.

I am so torn right now, the car only has 24K miles but anything is possible and I would hate to fly half way across the country, drop all this cash on a car that hasn't been properly inspected by anyone other than the dealership themselves.
