Arrow Purchased Something To Keep The E92 Company!

Well, today I pulled the trigger on a new daily driver! I was in need of something larger than my current daily (Impala) and also needed some towing capabilities for work! My choice of weapon was this 09 X5 4.8i

I am not used to driving something this large yet it drives like a car.. The 335i look s tiny parked next to this in the driveway. Im excited and look forward to start modding it asap!

Enjoy the pix!!

The dealer set up an appointment for me to bring it back on Tuesday to detail it and supposedly remove those.. Will a solid wax take care of it?

Wax would only fill it in. To properly remove the swirls requires polishing.

Congratulations with the X5! I purchased one right as summer was ending. At first it was weird to drive but after a while i love it. I leave the sport button pressed all the time.

I hope you got a good deal on your car! I paid 25k for my 2007, It had 60k miles but was fully loaded. I have every package accept the top of the line audio (logic 7 i think) or the cold weather package, but i got everything else. 19 rims, navigations, technology package, 3rd rear seat, sport package, sport seats, comfort access, heated seats, moonroof and the premium audio with subs.

I wanted to get a 2009+ model but couldn't find one with all the features i wanted. It was definitely worth it! I hope you love your new car, i know i do. Its a nice to change it up and switch off between the convertible and the suv.

The dealer won't do a full detail but if i was you I'd use dawn and wash the car. Then Clay the whole car, then polish and wax it with a DA polisher. I did that on my 335i and it looks like glass. I just need to find the time to do it to the x5! It's just so big that i haven't tried to tackle this one yet haha.

I'd take a pass on that - they'll probably do more damage than good. Seriously.

If you take it in tell them to get rid of the atrocious dealer badge too.

Congrats on the X5!

Thanks guys!! I will call a few local detailers and get a quote then, take the bill to the dealer and see if they will cover that for me.. That may be the better way to go? I really dont want to have to put the elbow grease into waxing/polishing myself since I just took the liberty of it!
