Hi Fraan,

I sent them the Original OEM rear diffuser and they built the fins into the diffuser.

Hello there again Audioquest,

Sorry for askin so many questions:P.
I informed at Robson Design singapore, they said that there is
the diffusor and a rear low bumper and now my question to you is did you installed both or only the diffusor. I hope you only did install the diffusor because the rear low bumper is quitte expensive.

Let me know,

Fraan

Sure, thats not a problem. You are right there are 2 parts. Lower Bumper and the Rear diffuser. I did both Lower Rear bumper and the rear diffuser. You can always op for the rear diffuser only and not the Lower Rear Bumper. They are individual part.

You can check on my earlier post thats is only done with the rear diffuser with fins and not with the Lower Rear Bumper. It still look all right.

Cheers

The four wheel fenders is now complete with the lamination. Yet again another fantastic workmanship from Robson Design Singapore. The rear fin also look fantastic but need to work on the base a little bit to have a perfect contact with the rear glass. The final part the front lower bumper will be coming in, in a few week time. That will complete the outlook for the car. Here are some picture of the wheel fender and rear fins install.

Some carbon fiber update. Just purchase this Vorsteiner vented Carbon Fiber Bonnet. The workmanship is excellent (from the picture ONLY). Will be installing it sometime next week. Will update picture when it is done.

********Picture********WK29/11. Vorsteiner Carbon Fiber Hood upgrade. Looks very good in my opinion, but quality is not to my expectation. I am so use to Robson Design Carbon Fiber excellent liquid glass finishing and the Vorsteiner Carbon Fiber Hood is not even close to it. A little bit disappointed. I understand of the weight saving for performance parts like the Vorsteiner Carbon Fiber Hood and they try to keep the coat as thin as possible to keep weight to a minimum, the clear coat is rather too thin and result in a orange peel effect because of the carbon fiber and some parts along the edges are not even properly coated, especially on the vented area. Overall acceptable for a performance parts but as a show pcs not there yet.

I properly will sent it back to Singapore Robson Design to do the re-coating of the top coat and have a liquid glass finishing or may be even colour code it. Overall I love the design but not the finishing of the Vorsteiner Carbon Fiber Hood .

The bonnet is still seating a bit too high about 2 to 3mm higher than the edge. The mechanic says it is the lowest it can get and any lower he will need to do some drilling. Anyway I have book my car in to be fitted properly by BMW mechanic. If any drilling is needed it will be warrant by BMW to be on the safe side for me.

Here are some progress picture installing the Vorsteiner Carbon Fiber Hood. Will post better picture after installing the Vorsteiner V-107 22" rims in Gloss Black Finishing.

Vorsteiner V-107 Rim Install. Just got it done, look very the good to me. The ride is actually better on this bigger 22" without the run flat tires. With this rim it almost sit flush with the wheel arches. Now I am using this Pirelli Scorpion ZERO non Run Flat and the combination of the active air suspension, now it is much quieter and a more comfortable ride. Here are some of the picture during the installation.

Rear Diffuser

Hey, I was wondering if you could let me know where you bought that rear diffuser. I have searched online and could not find anything. I live in Los Angeles so let me know where I can find one.

Also, how well is the wrap sticking to the plastic? I went to a shop and they said they do not wrap plastic because it does not stick to the adhesive very well.

Thanks,
David

Guys I have to ask this, any reason why he did not just get the x6m from the start and modify from there. His mods are really detailed and intense i would have though with all the current expenses, he could have just opted for the M right from the beginning. Or am I missing something here?

Wow, it's been 2 years since the OP's last post.

OP, care to show how your car looks now? Do you still have it?

Really like the effort you put into it. Great job bud!
