Aluminum or plastic valve cover

I'm working on a 2012 e70 that has the loud pcv issue and a leaking valve cover gasket. I see them on amazon plastic for $90 or aluminum for $160. Are these aftermarket ok to use? If so should I get the aluminum or plastic?

The ~$100 plastic ones are supposed to be okay. The aluminum ones are hit or miss with metal shavings in them from what I've heard/read.
