Please help, Rear reverse camera won't work

Just bought a used 2008 X5 3.0si and just realized that the back up camera won't work but the car has no warranty, does anyone know what could be the issue? or is the a switch to turn it on and off? Also i am planing to do an oil change myself, what kind of oil and how many Qt does the car needs. Thank you!

Thank you all, i finally figure out how to active the rear view camera. but the night vision is pretty bad.
