Roof black out???
So, the question is, would it look good to have the roof rack taken off, and the roof blacked out, or wrapped it carbon fiber on a white E70? Has anyone done this, or have pics???

Sounds like a great idea. I am getting a white x5 and think it would look great with a carbon fiber top. Maybe incorporate it in the grill?

To each their own, but the purpose of carbon fiber is to reduce weight, I just don't see the draw of fake carbon fiber.
Unless you keep a vehicle for many years I can't see spending so much on a car and then making modifications that reduce the size of your resale pool with such a dramatic modification. |

Yeah but I'm not worried about the re-sale aspect of it though, just cause of the simple fact that, I'm going to end up giving it to my brother when I'm done with it, it's not your typical vinyl wrap, it's the actual carbon fiber material in it's raw form, we have done it to several cars, and thought it would look pretty cool. Weight wise nor the m3 or the m6 with carbon roofs make much of the difference, under the roof is high strength steel beams to protect you, where at the normal roof is a thin sheetmetal with regular metal beams. It all boils down to looks. 9 out of ten customers don't buy it with the carbon fiber roof cause its lighter, but that it looks nicer to them.
