Replacing Transfer Case Control Module

ok, lots of water in the rear hatch wells and battery area in the back of the 2013 x5m. I'll get to finding/fixing the source of the leak, but I first want to get the vehicle back to normal electrically. Replaced the hatch control module in the right side well, hatch working again. Vehicle is throwing all kinds of 4x4! codes/traction control. I'm thinking it's the TC control module right next to the battery which I'm thinking got wet. I can pick one of those up and replace, but asking the group is there any coding/reset that needs to be done after the replacement?

Anyone else have experience with the electrical issues associated with a wet hatch area?

Appreciate any help on this before it gets real spendy.

Thanks, robc

Have you driven it since it all got wet? Sometimes if there is an interruption in power the dsc module will throw codes on the dash but will clear once it's been driven.
Not saying this is definitely your issue but figured I'd throw it out there.

Yes you would need to use some sort of programming software to swap the VTG module.

If you have ISTA there is a service function ABL that will walk you through the process and do the necessary coding.

it is demonstrated started at the 20:30 mark in this video.
