Off to my dealer. See what they say.
Checked with my dealer SA today ... said my car does not need this.

My N63 campaign was performed on Jan 29, 2015, almost exactly 1 year ago. I think my car was the 3rd one to receive the N63 engine "treatment". I find it hard to believe that some of the early campaign cars do not need this "update".

SA checked with the "key read". Showed me the screen .. says "no open recalls ..."

I had the N63 Campaign done last February, that's strange how mine was part of this recall and yours wasn't... Before I left the stealer ship yesterday, I asked my SA if all N63's needed this update, in her own words she told me "We screwed up some of the software updates during the Campaign" most of the trucks will need a new software update

N63 on my car was done late march, yet I don't have a recall on mine (checked with my SA). PAX5 and mine are MY2012, while Cattivo's is MY2011. Wondering if this is specific to 2011 models?

... may be she meant "we" as in only "your dealership".

My SA did tell me that the dealership DSCnet (key reader) is a direct communication link with the BMW servers in Munich Germany. And that some updates failed during the down load from that link.

I'm just wondering why the heck it takes 12 months to communicate this?

BTW, did you buy the TPMS from your dealer? Let me guess ... $75+ each!

Software Recall

I'm taking mines in to that same dealer as concrete jungle. I'll talk to JoFran about this matter. Also has anyone notice while driving, the camera pops up?

I had the N63 Campaign done at another dealer(BMW of Greenwich) because Ray Catena BMW wouldn't of been able to do the campaign for 3-4 months later

I completely forgot to ask about the TPMS! I may just order them from getbmwparts or Turner

I received some additional clarification on this today:

This SIB is only for those N63 engines that have received repairs after the CCP that required additional or new programming. If the cars were programmed again, a glitch in the software can/may revert the Oil Change Interval back to 15K miles, instead of the 10K miles in certain cases ...

I had mine done a month after you(2/15)...I wonder if I even needed this done? I wouldn't mind if it didn't involve re-coding the truck again
