2013-X5d .. Thinking to sell or buy not sure yet.

See post

http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showt...8#post19198108

No issues since we bought it. If I buy it off the lease then will buy the Extended Warranty. The in service date is 02/16/2013

What would others advise

Thanks

Difficult to judge without knowing the features/options/extras/history of the car.

Post the last 7 of the VIN and we'll do a VIN analysis. Tell us about the service history ... etc.

Here is the last 7-VIN

0B92150

Service History

1. All oil changes done in time
2. Brakes repalced at 23K (there was a squeal they repalced them)
3. EGR something replaced guess there was a recall
4. Fuel Tank Opening changed, there is anm electronic switch that allows to open the trap door for the inserting the fuel pump nozzle. It was not opening properly and they replaced it

Rest all is working as expected.

This is really your decision?

Do you like the vehicle? If it's a resounding yes, then perhaps you buy it. If you're not attached to it, then perhaps try out something else. The fact you've posted it for sale tells me you're fine moving on.

If that's the case, I'd lease/buy a new F15 X5 myself.

Or maybe when you drive the new F15 and realize how light and numb the steering is, you'll realize how much more you like the E70

Pretty sure everything else about the F15 would make it's steering forgettable. The interior design and tech is so far ahead of our E70's…and that's not even debatable. I'm bummed a new 50i is 90K equipped like my E70

No doubt the interior and tech is definitely a few steps above the E70 but if you ever drive one, it just doesn't feel like a BMW. I'm actually considering getting back into an E39 M5 as a DD to replace my E46. Something about the E39 chassis was just perfect to me, not to mention the priceless design.

So as Jiggz rightly pointed that "It is a personal decison", so last night I cut a check and bought car off BMW Financial ...

Things I had done on it:

1. Weathertech mats
2. Changed RFT to Normal Bridgestones (ride quality improved dramatically). I have the RFT with 13K miles on them, can sell them if anyone wants them.
3. Ordered the trunk shock and spare tire kit
4. Always garaged, hence the paint etc is pristine

Thanks all for the help

I believe you said that your X35d is a lease ...

Your lease contract REQUIRES that you return the car wit the RFT tires. Better put them back on if you are going to turn it in ...

Your e70 Weathertech mats won't fit the F15. Sell them.

I think you missed the part where he bought it from BMW.

There's something to be said for knowing the full 100% history of the vehicle.
