iDrive -- find nearest diesel station?
I may be be demonstrating my ignorance here, but is it possible to have iDrive tell you where the nearest service station that sells diesel is? If so, how is that done, and can I store it as one of my shortcut buttons? Thanks in advance.

Good question. Is this possible? My 35d is being built still but this also crossed my mind.

The NAV will not tell you which types of gas a station has. I used a app call gas buddy to find the diesel stations. Another thing to keep in mind is that some stations have truck nozzles that require the use of the adapter an can lead to over fueling.

BMW Nav does it
Dear All;
The current BMW built-in nav system will allow you to search for stations with fuel type diesel. You only need to set the criteria in the search criteria. Not through Google search, but through the navi Points of Interest. PS - In the NY area you need not wait in any lines for gas. Just go to a station that has a dedicated diesel pump and ask the cop at the front of the line. I did, got some dirty looks but filled up right away. I will be purchasing a generator soon (for suture need) and it will be a diesel as well. - No lines for Diesel (in NY area) |
