They're flared, but not massively. The car flows very nicely. This car has me excited.

I think the front ends on both the W205 and F80 will look aggressive (in their own ways).

While the rear end on the W205 is definitely on the softer/more conservative side, the F80's rear end looks a little busy to me.

My W204 wasn't conservative enough today. Got pulled over. I was cresting over a hill and an officer had just turned right into the lane next to me (so he was coming toward me). As soon as I came over the top he flicked on his radar and I tried hitting the brakes but sure enough, I saw his brake lights come on and he pulled a u-turn and lit me up.

Good thing is I escaped with only a warning.

Not a fan of the F8x front end.

Glad you got lucky. From a friend who's a cop, brake lights will greatly increase your odds of getting pulled over, better to downshift and stay off the brake pedal when possible, even if clearly guilty.

Of course it also helps to drive an anonymous shitbox, my Mazda3 seems impervious to getting pulled over, I'm going to be in trouble whenever I get around to getting another sports car.

Have you heard anything more from your dealer regarding ordering time frame? Right now some publications are saying an April reveal whereas others are insisting that it will be later in Paris.

Thank you! And thanks for the tip. It's been 10 years since the last time I was pulled over. The officer said, "I know my driving record wouldn't be as clean as yours with a car like that at my disposal." He was a very good/friendly guy. Asked me right up front whether I was speeding and I said, "Yep." He said he appreciated the honesty.

I'm usually very cautious and alert. Was on the phone (hands free) and just got distracted. Wasn't paying meticulous attention to my speed and surroundings like I usually do.

And at that last part. My buddy has a Mazda3 with a MT. He lets me drive it from time to time so that my old-fashioned shifting skills remain up to snuff. I actually quite like the car, and the transmission.

New York is what I'm hearing, but rumors are swirling of a S variant with 510+ hp, and that's coming tad bit later, which is what I think will be revealed in Paris.

My only question is, has anyone seen Mystic Blue in person? Is it anything like Le Lans?

No, not in person. I had a Le Mans Blue '10 M Sport 335i.

Judging by the photos, Mystic Blue is a bit brighter.

My M3 was Le Mans Blue. Loved the color. Can't wait to see what color options are available.

Mystic blue is usually a designo color. If I remember correctly standard designo metallic colors are $2,300.

Thanks for that! I'm hearing a designo color can add some time to delivery. I'm hoping MB offers a nice shade of blue standard so that I don't have to resort to designo to get the color I want.

"S" Model C63 AMG Forthcoming

There will be a more powerful "S" version which will also pack larger brakes and different interior & exterior styling.

That's what I had heard. It being confirmed has me even more excited. It's going to be a very long year.

Decisions, decisions.

I knew that AMG wasn't going to slip up with the next C63. Not a chance after the strong moves AMG has been making since 2012.

If that means wider rear wheel archs, then good-by M3 F80. Also, from looks I prefer RC F than M4. But apparently the F8X is really that good at drive feeling.

The F80 looks better with its flared fenders and less-droopy ass.

However, this car will eat the F80's lunch and beg for more. Too bad BMW can't grow some balls like Mercedes and put a real engine in their sporty cars.
