Not yet, but we (Drivers Republic) have tried a tuning box and that makes quite a positive difference in driveability and fuel economy. Economy rises from an average of 25mpg to just under 30mpg, it only takes a light brush of the throttle to make rapid progress and it's easier to travel quickly in 'D' rather than needing to drive in 'DS'.
I suspect a remap would produce far better results. The tuning box only increases fuel pressure whereas a remap would also adjust fueling duration and boost pressure. I wouldn't recommend aiming for maximum figures, but it would definitely be worth making modest adjustments to improve driveability and economy. |
