Preparation Center??

Hi All,

Quick question; What exactly goes on at the "Preparation Center". Is this where BMW installs some of the chosen options for a particular vehicle? Or is this where they do the testing and Q.C. stuff?? Just curious as my X6 has been sitting at the prep center since Monday of this week or so............Not sure how long it takes from the prep center to the dealer......

If I'm not mistaken, preparation centre is where they do the testing and PDI (pre-delivery inspection). We don't have that in Canada (it's done at the dealer) so I'm just thinking back to stuff I've read around here. Someone confirm?
