E70 35i Top Dead Center locking pin location.

I’ve searched and searched and can’t find a reliable source on where you insert the TDC locking pin that locks the flex plate so you stay at top dead center when tightening the vanos cam gears. About to replace tensioner, chain guides, solenoids, etc and for the life of me cannot find where this locking pin goes. Most other bmw’s with the zf8 speed have this little plastic plug that you remove then insert the locking pin but cannot find it. Any advice would be appreciated!
