No gps signal from navigation

Hi all,

I purchased a bmw x5 e70 x drive 30d 2010 model and noticed 2 things.

1. No gps signal from navigation unit.
2. No gps signal from different smartphone while inside the car. As soon as I open the window I get gps signal on phone. Looks like something in the car interfering with phone and maybe navigation unit.

Can some please help or give advice on what to do?

Is there any device fitted to the cigarette 12V outlets that shouldn't be?
