Curiosity--What all happens in 'S' mode?

Is there a reference somewhere that outlines what parameter changes take place when the shift selector is put into S mode (moved to the left, but no manual gear selection is made)?

I can see directly that:
  • Upshifts take place at higher RPM
  • Downshifts are delayed when coming off throttle
  • Boost is maintained longer (at least based on casual glances at my boost gauge)
  • Instantaneous fuel economy goes down, given a consistent speed and throttle position (likely a factor of everything above)

I'm curious if a full list exists anywhere.

This is what I got from the BMW site, although it's for the 2014 X6 from Malaysia...

In Sport mode, the gear shifts are configured for maximum performance. Thanks to the fine increments and eight gears, the engine is always kept at the level at which it can make best use of its power and efficiency. It also makes acceleration faster, when overtaking another vehicle for example.
