X6 Parts Backorder

First, I love my X6, have had it just over a month. Haven't seen another on the road and it still turns heads! Here's my problem. I still don't have a front license plate bracket and I live in NJ (requires 2 plates). Dealer says they are backordered, no idea when to expect it. Anyone else experience this? I have keeping the plate on the dash. Anyone know where to get one?

Sounds like a good reason to not wear a front license plate for awhile. I have never liked the way front license plates looks on vehicles and I will go as long as I can without having to put on my front plate as well.

I live in Texas, which also requires a front plate. While it's not really optional, I haven't put a front plate on my last two vehicles, including my new X6. I agree with Shenard - it detracts from the look. Check back with your dealer. My X6 came with the front license plate bracket - it was stuffed into the rear luggage compartment. I'm keeping it in case I have to put it on - meaning if I get a ticket for not having a front plate.
