E70/E71 to E53 engine/gearbox swap

Greetings,

Has anyone done or investigating a possibility of an engine + gearbox swap from modern E70 or E71 to an old E53 ?

I'm thinking of putting a 50i inside an old E53 (3.0i petrol / auto).

Currently they are pretty cheap around (a whole 50i 4.4 bi-turbo with a gearbox , ecu , wirings and all the sensors and stuff are around 3000 EUR) here.

All the help are welcome. Was trying to find a supercharger for a 3.0i (m54) but with no luck.
