What color are your H&R springs??
Hey guys, I was just taking a look at the springs I received from Tire Rack, and I am pretty sure they sent me the wrong springs. I ordered the 2" drop for my E70, but my springs are the tapered blue ones that look identical to several of the forum members pictures of the 1.2" kit. I checked the part numbers on my order and the box, and those seem to match the 2" kit. It's the springs themselves that are probably in the wrong box. Shouldn't the 2" drop kit have black springs?? Let me know what you guys have?

Nobody can tell me what color the 2" drop springs are, and what color the 1.2" drop springs are?

Mine are blue, and I ordered the 2" kit. The box is labeled with the 2" kit part numbers. I am going to call Tire Rack today and see if they can confirm which is which.

Perfect! Glad someone could confirm this. I was freaked out they sent me the wrong springs in the right box. The 1.2 and 2" springs look identical, so it's pretty confusing.

If I don't, I'll probably switch to coilovers. I usually buy coilovers for my cars, but I wanted to spend the money on other things right now. I figure for $281.00 shipped, it was worth the gamble. I know many of you like the ride on the 1.2" H&R's, but they don't sit low enough for me. I like the look of the 2" drop much better. I realize this may ride hard, it will just depend how much compromise I am willing to take. I think the air ride may also be a very appealing option to me in the future also. Gets you low, and does so with a comfortable ride.

Looks like Tire Rack screwed me over. Went through all the trouble of installed mine and such, and I am pretty sure they sent me the 1.2" kit. My front height is at 30.25". They ride awesome, but I do wish it sat a little lower. Now I am pissed, and not sure what to do. It's not like swapping the springs is a small or quick job.

I drove around on them a bit tonight. Seems they didn't move at all. 30.25" dead nuts.

Well, considering the fronts measure around 32-32.25" in the front on a diesel, it sounds like you'll be right in the ballpark of a 2" drop not to mention it should settle some. Most people who get 2"+ drop are those with the heavier V8s.
Did you double check the part# on the box? If it's the same part# you ordered, can't blame Tire Rack. |

The box has the correct part number, but I thought the springs looks identical to the 1.2" springs I have seen posted on the forums.

Maybe someone can cross reference the part# on the springs with what you have. Either way Tire Rack only sold what was on the box so if there was a mismatch that would fall on H&R.

It's just a huge bummer to order something like that, go through the trouble and hassle of installing them, and then find out someone mixed up the boxes at the factory.
