LED "HALO" module replacement for 35D .. suggestions?

Hi

Has anyone had success in replacing the LED module on the right/passenger side for the corona/halo/angel rings on a 35D? I'm not sure if the non diesel version would make a difference, but the Ad Blue tank might be in the way. Not sure. My inner ring is a little yellowish.

NewTis says to remove bumper and fender liner and wanted to know or confirm if thats actually needed. Or if i can finagle my hands to remove the module.

Any suggestions or tips are greatly appreciated, thanks!
