Sideview mirror cracked!!

Being a city dweller, I am very cognisant of my sideview mirrors. I always fold them up when I park. They probably go through the fold-unfold cycle 3 times a day. Well today after I hit the button to unfold the mirrors I watched the sideview mirror on my passenger side mirror crack. It started from the top middle into a backwards "J". I am bringing it to BMW today to have it fixed. Do you think it will be under warranty? There is not a single mark on the case or near it. As far as I know, it has never been struck in any way shape or form..

Dealer may replace for free if there is no sign of abuse. I had my mirrors replaced for free due to discoloration.
