Do I need to get the 20" wheel option ?
I ordered my X6 i35 yesterday. I plan to use the 19" wheel that come with sport package to be my winter/snow set while order after market 21or22" for summer drive. I worry that X6 option with 19" wheel will have smaller fender clearance than that with 20" OEM wheel ? Should they be the same or not?
Does anyone know what is the manufacture and size of this wheel set? |

Typically when you plus size the wheel you adjust the profile so the overall wheel and tire diameter is the same. It won't change the actual fender gap but larger wheels give the perception of a larger gap as there is less tire that fills out the fender.
Those are Hamann wheels, we can price out a set if you like the style. |

One thing you don't have to worry about with the X6 is wheel to fender clearance, the openings are ridiculously large. Only becomes issue if you lower the car.

when I read the spec of X6, they said that 20" wheel will allow higher limit of the max speed (150 vs 130). And for the engine hp and torque increase, it needs performance upgrade, is it the same as the 20" wheel or it is the dinan upgrade chip? because apparently, both of the client advisor that I talked to in bloomington and minnetonka don't know about performance upgrade but they said I can order upgrade chip from dinan instead. I'm confused!
Nick, I cannot pm yet. But I'll call you tomorrow. thx |

Those are Hamann 23's. They are about $3500.00 EACH....I already called for my 6 and hung up the phone pretty quickly...almost 15,000 for just rims not including tires....pretty steep ide say
