My screen shows that my music is playing, but there is no sound!

Hey guys,

It's been just two months since I've got my x6 50i, but im having a big problem! No sound comes out of the speakers!

The sound for the seatbelt doesn't chime in, and when im backing up, the sensor doesn't make the sound either.

There is no sound coming from the radio or any cds i place in the player either.

The display shows that a song is playing, but there is no sound!

Has anyone had this problem? Any solutions? PLEASE!

No sound from any audio sources? Take to dealer, maybe a bad amp.

There could be several reason for that but based on the info available we couldn't diagnose it here.

As mentioned, the amp could be bad, but I'm inclined to think not because you say you're not getting any sound. I think even a bad amp wouldn't preclude all sound from getting out.

Could be something as simple as a blown fuse, or lose connection which I'm most likely to believe. A lose connector coming out of your head end unit could cut off all sound. That is something your dealer would have to diagnose and repair for you. Likely not a big deal however.
