Noise from engine

Hey guys,

After i start my car and drive a couple miles, i start to hear a funny noise from the engine.

Everytime i accelerate from a standstill, the engine starts making this weird noise as i accelerate. It escalates in sound, and it sounds like something is maybe coming from the belt?

Any suggestions as to what this may be or how i can fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Not enough info to really judge what may be wrong.

You bought it new or used with a warranty, correct? Why would you be concerned about trying to fix it yourself?

I just got my bar back from BMW because the Amp had a "factory defect." I feel both butthurt and kind of stupid taking it back a year later with more trouble.

To be more descriptive with the problem...

When i turn my car on, everything seems fine. I'll drive about 2-3 miles, and then the sounds from the engine will start. It's not like a screeching sound, and its now a low-toned sound. It's more of a hiss that escalates as a reach higher RPMs. I've heard this sound from a lot of Benz's that I have been a passenger in, but i have never asked the drivers what the problem may be.

Any ideas?

Take it back to the dealer and have THEM fix it, part of the high price we pay for these cars is for the warranty. don't worry about appearing stupid , you didn't build the car. I bought mine just after launch (it was in the first batched produced) , I was at the dealer almost every week sometimes twice a week during the first 3 months, (wrong battery, reprogram, etc).
