High battery drain. Needs TCU
So lately I have been having a high battery drain everyday when I initially start the car. After it has been driven for awhile the battery light will turn off till the next day. It has been in once already and they replaced the factory iPod adapter saying that was the source of the draw. The next day the high battery drain light came back on. After a few days the phone book would not sync to the Bluetooth kit. Handsfree still works but no phonebook or redial info stored.
The dealer is saying my iPhone is not compatible and it screwing up the phone kit. I had this car for 5 months now and the problem occurred after 3 months. I am using a iPhone 3GS version 4.2.1. Sometimes I will use the iPod feature and Pandora thru the kit. Has anyone else had this problem. Should I not use it? They are replacing the TCU today. 2011 BMW X6 3.5 No navigation |

Your dealer is ignorant or lazy and I would report them to BMWNA for being stupid.

Your dealer is an idiot!
I have been getting the drain problem every now and then and will go in once my car dies. The service employees at my dealership have no idea what causes the issue and I refuse to waste time just to be told to drive more. It's not your iPhone dude, the battery is just too weak to be in a car with so many toys. |
