Aside from the Dinan tune (which is by nature more conservative based on their warranty agreement) all the other tunes are the same. Given a certain octane fuel, there's only so much you can do with ignition advance, fuelling, and boost. Take 3 different competing (reputable) tuners that know what they're doing and the tuned vehicles will pull within 5 WHP of each other on the same dyno on the same day. It's not rocket science. That's why these lame tuner wars that pop up (especially on the N54 forums) are such a joke.

You're not buying WHP or WTQ when you're deciding between tunes, you're buying the perks - customer service and convenience of install.

I went with Velos after asking a few velos owners for feedback on the tune and customer service.
Also the hand held tuner (for easier switching between oem and tune) was another big plus for me.
I've seen quite a few Dinan and ESS owners but haven't seen any AA owners/reviews yet. So I didn't really look into it when I was in market.

Yes, VF Engineering does offer Hex Flash software. If you are interested or have any questions let us know as we are a VF dealer.

Does the M mode still work with the velos tune, or does it become obsolete?
