Question on snow setup fitting on 2011 x5 50i sport
I have been looking for a winter set of wheels and tired for my 2011 X5 50i with the Sport activity package and the 20's pre Oct 2010.....I have seen a few posts around that the older snow setups no longer fit...the 18" setups? Is this True? Apparently the calipers will hit with the sport package on anything less than 19s?....I would like to purchase a set off of an e70 x5 with OEM 209 18" wheels and Snow tires...Anyone familiar with this topic? Will this fit my 2011?

I can't answer about 18s. I had the M Sport 19s and got a OEM sized staggered winter setup for them (255/285). In the spring I may put the OEM summers back on or switch to 20s for the summer.

Just got my 209 set installed. Tried aftermarket for a long time and had the exact problem with the calipers. What a pain.
But the 209 set fits my 2011 50i see pic. Not pretty but for 3-4 month until the 336's go back on!!! |

Same here.. I see that you have the flares on the back too. We have the flares AND the mudflaps, which makes a 255 wide tires look like a 175. Having the 209's really killed the look, but oh well safety first.
These tires combined with xDrive makes the X5 pretty much drivable in any condition.
