Upgrading E70 X5 Angel Eyes Halo Rings to LED

hello

I was looking for my e70 x5 angel eyes upgrade bulbs and after some time I have found this website offering this led kit

http://www.xenonplanet.com/bmw-h8-le...-m3-e93-e70-x5

Anybody tried it? What results? I think it should be better than regural bulbs are for sale for very cheap price.

And what do you think about led number plate license lamps upgrade?

The angel eyes are solid but those look like replicas given the price and no brand name. I would stick with the WeissLicht brand, here is a review by a fellow member:

http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showt...ght=weisslicht

Those license plate lights are quite pricey, WeissLicht also has full replacement housings that would work for the E70.

So far I've seen a lot of reviews on the Lux AEs and the WeissLichts. I'd stick with those unless you'd care to be a tester for the rest of the X5 Board. hehe

Well, I expect if a product claims to be error free, that it is as such.

Getting LED from Stealth Auto this weekend. It's their own brand of LED's and they do a lot of mods for BMW's.

Here's a link:

MarCer As a reply to the license plate lights, I just did mine yesterday.
I like the look, see below:

Yeah I know the car is dirty. Iive in Chicago, they do salt like crazy lately.
You could take the car to the wash every 2 days.

Yes kind of bright right now, might be the salt crust reflecting as well.
I'll retake pictures once the car is washed again.

Hey Marc, I have a set on my 335i and I'd definitely order another set of H8 LUX's for my X5 but...
You guys have been jacking up the price! What's up with that?!

I recall paying 229 for them a little over a year ago and now they're nearly $300.

I know cost of materials go up and all, but damn. An inline fuse, longer wires, and a revised power supply added more than $50 to the cost? Iterative design spins should factor in BOM reductions and increases in part volume should decrease your BOM costs.

I guess it's a good case of supply and demand.

I'm not driving a $70k SUV with errors and warnings. That's tacky.
