no and no. Though I don't think a reso delete does much in terms of sound on our cars (maybe a tad louder). You'd be better off with a new rear muffler setup. Look at Megan exhaust, seems like the best option if you don't feel like dumping cash on a crazy setup. Also aftermarket exhausts will not void your warranty so you don't have to worry about that.

This would be a pretty cool mod if the sound did change. I did this on my Trailblazer SS and the sound was noticeable. Has anyone done this on an X5M?

Don't waste your money. Search for my thread about a year old. I did it on my prior M6 vert and it was significant and made it HOWL. Res delete on my X5M was minimal at best. Minor increase in volume and growl, but I'm thinking I should have spent the money into the Megan exhaust.

On the plus side, no codes thrown or issues...

Awesome! Have any sounds clips? The shop I always go to doesn't charge me much since I know the guy so I won't waste too much money on this.

LOL!! I did it on the Saab 9-7x Aero too-made a huge difference, but with the turbos on the M, it muffles it right at that point.

Hi no this is basically muffler delete with custom tips

The E-race just didn't sound good for 3k+(used) that I had prev

My muffler guy did some other things with the pipe to enhance sound ...there is absolutely no droning sound ..but when this thing goes above 80 it sounds nice ...will try to take some pics of what looks like and post up
