New Tires and Alignment.

Two days ago we replaced the Bridgestone Runflat OEM tires with new Continental Tires on our 2010 X5 xDrive 3.0i. Amazing the difference in ride quality, refinement, and quietness it has made to our X5. With the OEM Runflats the tires where producing a lot of road noise and felt very choppy and somewhat harsh/crashing over minor road imperfections. With the new Continental NON Runflat tires we have none of those issues whatsoever. Alignment was also performed. Only thing that was out of spec was the front left which had -0.13 toe (Toe out). This was corrected with an alignment. Car tracks straight with no pulling, however, before the steering wheel was aligned perfectly straight when driving on the highway. After the alignment I noticed that the steering wheel is a few degrees off to the left when going straight. Is this a simple fix?

Thanks!

Part of an alignment is to "center" the steering wheel. Bring your X back to the shop that performed the alignment and inform them of the slanted wheel. They should put it back on the rack (or over the pit) and recenter the wheel for you.

Usually when an alignment is setup to perfectly true, your car will drive to the right because most roads crown to the right to let rain run off. You can of course tell the shop to off center it a little to compensate for most roads. I do that with my lifted 4Runner. Drives perfectly true. The X5 we is still running factory setup and drives fine as well.
