Help! Emergency! Tailgate won't close hitting the taillight

I have yo go to another town for some emergency. My tailgate won't close. Any solutions? Thanks.

It's hitting the taillight? Must be misaligned...you'll need to grab the appropriate sized torx bit and tighten it in the correct location.

Is one of the motorized struts out, causing it to twist to one side on descent?
Not sure how it could all of a sudden just become out of alignment.

Delear figured out one of the struct f*ed up and twisted the hinge. i bought a hinge for $90 and got 2 struct ctom a front end collision X5 + Trim piecess for $25. just waiting for my buddy get his booth set up and colour matched and off we go the repair.
