That's me, the one who was going to retrofit a rear view camera, I just did it last week, and let me tell you that I'm very, very happy with the result. The camera has excellent resolution, fits like the OEM and the system works great, just put the car in reverse and there you have the camera working in your original OEM iDrive screen.
Also the Video Interface comes with extra Video inputs so you can install a DVD, TV, Playstation or NAV system.
I did the installation myself with a help of a friend, note that I'm not a mechanic and I don't know nothing about car electronics, the most difficult and time consuming job was to get routed the RCA video cable from the back of the car to the front (rear side of the glovebox)
You have to make 3 easy connections via hardwire, one is to give power to the rear camera itself ( the easiest one), another was to give power to the Video Interface, and the third one and most important was connecting the "CAN" wire (data wire that makes the interface to interact with the OEM iDrive and makes the system works at the time you put the car in reverse gear)
It took me like 6 net hours of work mostly because didn't know how to remove some interior trim in order to route the video signal cable from back to the front of the car. But, if I have to do it again, probably it will take me less than 3 hours because I already know what to remove and how to remove the trim parts and where are the clips located.

Sorry but didn't have a camera with me the day we made the installation, but I will try to show you (soon) all the interior pieces of trim I removed, so give me some time in order to take pictures of the pieces of trim I removed for your reference.
Later today I will try to post some general info regarding the "hardwire" connections, and info about the product itself.

Hello, sorry for my delay posting more info but I have been kind of busy.
In order to give you a better idea, please visit this website that sold me the rearview camera system: www.component.co.il

They have videos to see the system working

Hi! How I understand, Motex speaking about retrofit kit named ACM(accessory Control Menu). Really it give posibility to connect any multimedia device (4 cameras, OEM TV, OEM DVD and USB VIDEO interface) . BMW partnumber 65 50 0 441 372. I installed it. Not myself, but diler.
And additional I installed retrofit kit USB VIDEO interface for ACM. BMW partnumber 65 50 0 433 281. And now I use USB Hard Drive (or flash memory) to play video/audio/picture on the board display (using I drive of course). Formats video - avi, mp2,4... Easy to off block moving.

I paid for two retrofit kits (acm and usb video for acm) 700 euro.
There are acm modul, can modul, usb video modul, cables and branches.
It is original BMW devices, with menu on board screen etc.

OEM devices - it's mean any TV tuner (anlog/digital), any DVDs, any cameras with standart audio video output.

Motex! Unfortunately mentioned by you website is empty, no specification, no description, no prices, the naked advertising only.
Please take out specification device which you installed, or reference to user manual or instalation manual.
