Here is a video of the rear view camera working

Hello guys,
Finally here is the video and this picture, hope you will get a better idea of the system working, I did a YouTube video filmed with a regular digital camera, so quality is not so good.
Sorry but I did not take pictures of the installation process.

See video here:

Here a couple of pics of the camera itself

No, what I ment was, I made a mistake when I first posted the rearview camera, after posting this message I realize that the post really belongs to the X6 Photo Video and Audi Gallery message forum not this one, so I wanted to delete this post but couldn find a way to do it......

video image reversed??

In the video, the writing on the pavement is confusing.
Is the image reversed??
Is port side of car on left of screen & starboard is righthand side of screen??

The image is not reverse, is the same as looking on your rearview mirrors, maybe the video does not show it, I will try to record and post a new video soon with some better floor references.
Sorry but did not understand your question
"Is port side of car on left of screen & starboard is righthand side of screen??"
My car is a left hand drive if that was your question, if not, please explain me to give you an accurate answer.

I did not take pictures of the installation sorry, but it was kind f simple, first and maybe the most complex was to route the cable from the camera thru the flexible duct that ends into the ceiling of the car, I used a hard metal cable with a little of WD40 in order to route the cable, then it was just to find a way to get the video RCA cable that comes from the camera all the way up front until you reach the glove box, is a matter of removing some trim pieces in order to route the cable.
After reaching the interface, the only place to install it was behind the plastic black wall inside the glovebox, I think is the same place where the factory CD changer comes installed.

Hope you get a general picture here.

You didn't know you had to understand nautical words when you bought your X6?

I'm curious about how it connected to your unit and how you did after you got it hooked up.

Did you install a BMW kit?

When you got it all hooked did it come to life right away or did you have to reconfigure the electronic?

There is no need for re programing anything on the car, just install the system following instructions and the system starts to work inmediately, here are some pictures of the video interface system in order to give you a better idea of it. Also there is no software to touch, is almost a plug and play system.
The way this system recognizes and works into the iDrive screen is because the CAN BUS wire must be hardwires to the interface, the CAN BUS wire is the wire that transmits all data to the main screen, so when you put the car in reverse, that signal goes into the interface and sends the camera image to the screen, sounds complex, but it is a simple task.
Please check the following pictures of the Video Interface
