2006 X5 Drivers Seat Motor Noise

Every time I open the drivers door, the seat motor hums. With or without the key in the ignition, or wether I'm sitting in it or not. The moment I touch any one of the seat adjustment buttons the humming stops. Can anyone comment on this or have the same issue?

Upper side bolsters adjusting. It's normal.

Thanks! I was not aware of the seat bolsters, that makes sense then. It appears the noise continues, however I have not been patient enough to wait until it stops on its own. I'll continue the thread if it does (-: appreciate the response.

Unlock it, open the door, and hop in. See if you can feel them tightening. That's what mine does at least...probably the same with yours...

They should loosen up again after you shut the vehicle off and open the door.
