X5M throws O2 sensor code

Hey guys,

Last weekend I installed the Naviks video input harness. I disconnected the battery, installed the harness and then reconnected the battery. When I fired up the car i noticed my CEL was on. I ran a quick scan and it came back with fault code P0156 O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2).

Since the O2 sensor is a electronic part I'm thinking the disconnection of the battery has something to do with the fault code.

Something else to note I'm hearing a whooshing noise at WOT coming from the mid pipes. It definitely sounds as if theres a valve opening somewhere on the exhaust line when the car is on full boost, which doesn't make sense but the sound is loud and only occurs when the car is on full boost. Not sure if this is relevant or normal for the X5M but I'm going to look into this further on Saturday morning.

Anyone else experience these issues and if so how did you remedy?

Did you ever end up fixing this issue? I've also got the same CEL popping up on my car... is the O2 sensor dead?

Yes. I got the bostich sensor from autozone, spliced and installed and the code went away.

do you remember which sensor you ended up getting? I think I need to replace mine as well. A part number would be great...
I found Bosch 15733 Oxygen Sensor - is that the right one?

My bad for not replying. For anyone using this as reference it was indeed Part No 15733.
