Auxiliary Water Pump Failure & Auxiliary Water Pump Hoses Leaking

Hey guys,

I have a 2012 X6 50i

I know this is the X5 thread but the engine on a x5 50i is the same so I figured to ask this question on the x5 forum as well.

so,

I had my Auxiliary Water Pump replaced last week and the dealership said that will be a temporary fix because the hoses are leaking bad. (there are 4 hoses total)

my question is...the dealership quoted me $3500 to replace the 2 hoses.

my service advisor informed me that the labor will be $2860. (22 Hrs of labor)

**Replacing the hoses will need to drop the engine down

Can someone help me with the solution here? Or have anyone in the forum has dealt with the situation before?

Any information will be appreciated it!

Frank
