Hi Guys

I'm looking to do an pieced together suspension kit. Do we have any options for front struts valved to accommodate lower springs? Does anyone have a link? Only seeing the b6 4600 available.

Thanks

You might have to try bilstein resellers in europe for b8 or similar struts.

Thanks. Im pretty sure if we can get out hamds on a pair of $800 adustable shocks it will be a happy marriage between the KWs and HR drop. Hopefully this is possible.

For aprox $1200, you can get an e70 compatible B8 struts matched to lowering springs, from Bilstein. I've fancied those for a while, but can't justify them till I have a suspension issue with my ride that warranty won't cover... IIRC, they are HR Springs in that package.

I don't think it's valved any different than standard B8 models. Wouldn't make sense to.

But yeah, B8, for an X5, you have to look across the atlantic for those.

It seems the general consensus is the struts are available in Europe. Is there any way to confirm this? Has this been done before? Any advice on how i can track down a vendor that carries them over there?

I cannot confirm that a normal X5 35i/50i suspension can fit an X5M/X6M. Using KW's website, the part numbers are different. You'd also have to deal with an EDC/active suspension trickery, which there are HW devices that/can do that...

That said, B6, B8 and B12 suspensions are easily found in the UK for the X5 35i/50i.

Good luck on your search.
