Remember when . . .

As I finished mile 2 in my run last night, and my phone told me a pace that used to cover a full 5K race, I was remembering. Back 20 lbs and 30 years, when I didn't need to use ice after every run. Didn't wear compression socks to bed for 2 days. Didn't giggle like a jello running down the road.

But, I still love it!!!

Back when, there weren't all these bottles of supplements, shakes, etc. You had to eat chicken, or boiled chicken, or eggs if you wanted more, bro-tein.

Nothing more than the watch on your wrist, and your own memory, to track your results week by week.

Oh, and while there was probably Magnesium supplements, I didn't know about them. All those hamstring cramps I could have avoided

I'm glad you took my advice . And I'm even more glad to hear that the Magnesium helps

Cycling, gents, cycling. Great calorie burner, easy on the bones and joints. Plus you get to see more and move faster. And wear spandex and mushroom hats.

Nice to read a running thread.
Looking forward to temps in the twenties this weekend on the morning run.

Anyone getting runners high anymore?

Cycling helmets. Make you look like a mushroom.

I'm very positive on cycling. Been great for me. Running, not so much. I walk about 5 miles every day, but even that is taking its toll on my feet.

I'm about to turn 29 and my body already feels like shit. 15 years of skateboarding is starting to take its toll.

You may look like a mushroom but they save lives. Had a terrible accident over 2 months ago. I was riding my road bike and went down hard on my face into the road. The helmet was cracked badly and I was knocked unconscious. I didn't come to until I got to the hospital. No brain damage and the ER Doc said the helmet saved my life. Never ride without one.
