HELP:MLS warning in HUD, what is this

Wife is on the way home with my new X6M, about 1 hour out and pulled off onto shoulder, said she has a MLS warning in the HUD display. Any idea what this warning is?

Told her to get back on the road and keep driving...
On the dash: 226 MLS and shows a fuel tank
On the HUD shows 8 MLS
Actual amount of fuel left = 1/2 tank.
Thoughts?
