Rear view camera faulty message

Last few days I've been seeing this "Rear view camera faulty" message pop up on my screen every time I put my X6M in reverse. After running some diagnostics, seems like the issue is with bad connection between TRSVC control unit and the camera over the local interconnect network bus.

Has anyone else experienced same issue? Where is the TRSVC control unit located in X6M E71? Any suggestions / solutions for this issue?

It has been raining very hard lately in the Bay Area, could this be he cause of this issue?

Repair guide suggests: In majority of cases water penetrates into the LVDS data line and causes this problem.

I had this message, the dealer replaced the control module, sorry this is all I know about it.

Thanks for your reply, Blackland. I really do not think it is a control module in my case. I am leaning more towards cabling and water getting into contacts issue.
