X6 Headlight Question

Hey guys,

Would you know if the 2014 x6 35i Headlights are the old school ugly yellow halos or the xeon type.

I know the other option is to go with the LEDs but thats a $1900 option that i want to try to avoid.

Wouldn't call them ugly yellow but I'm pretty sure all 2012 up cars have the white rings

Yellow.
The halo's were never updated in the X6 like on the X5.
Either you get the LED lights or you're stuck with yellow corona's.

or you update the bulb for the angel eyes which is a simple step. plenty of bulb options to do this that are error code free and flicker free.

Nah, i have the 2012 and it came stock with the yellow rings. They started to the led lights for 2013 models and up. I recently just bought new led halos for my car.

The LED's don't show up good during the day.... there has to be a stronger option!

I completely disagree with this. I have the LED headlights and they are very bright during the day as running lights (coronas only).

LED headlamp, is an $1800 option mfg installed only available after 2013 X6.

LED angel eyes, are aftermarket bulb just so we know which ones we are referring in the discussion to avoid any further confusion. Yes no questions the genuine BMW LED headlamps are the best option if you happen to buy your X6 new after 2013, it's a nobrainer to pay for it.

But for most of us, LED angel eyes with Xenon is what the best we can do, and I suggest these ones:
http://www.umnitza.com/dtec-v7-h8-le...tt-p-6464.html

Tell the operator, someone got a deal at $120 shipped for the pair. GL

BTW, the DTEC bulbs are very descent during the day, if you want super bright then you need to bake open your headlamp and installed these instead:

I won;t bake open $1500 headlamp each and melt the lens.

Oops I didn't realize there is such a thing as LED angel eyes for the pre-LCI headlights. I misread the comment you responded to, sorry about that.

I will crawl back to my cave now.

I will go with Lux Angel Eyes V4, most popular brand in the market, great results (had V3's before a retrofitted my car to OEM LED's)

Here a good tip, during daylight driving, put the light's switch to Off position, don't use the Auto option), the rings will get a more intense light and will look much brighter during daylight.

Good luck!
