wierd seat problem?
whats up fellas. im not too active on the forums, mainly lurk, but ive run into a problem and hope someone can help me out. 09 e70 with comfort seats. the part labeled 3 in this diagram has all of a sudden stopped moving on both front seats. when i press the control for that section to move in or out i can hear the motor running, but that section of the seat is not moving. seems super wierd that both the driver and passenger side are doing it and even more wierd that it sounds like its working... any help is appreciated

This must be an issue with the comfort seats as both driver and passenger thigh support motors were replaced in my X6 prior to my ownership and then I had the driver's side replaced again since it had suddenly gotten very loud and was not operating smoothly.

I had mine at the dealership for this exact problem on the passenger side. They tried several different approaches and then finally decided to just replace the thigh extension. Now it's working like it should.

My 09 X6 went though several motors/mechanisms (2 driver side and 1 passenger side) luckily all were replaced under warranty.

Wow thanks for the info. I've read about this on a 5 series thread. Seems like 50/50 chance covered by CPO...
