Getting a BMW Discount on X6

I dont currently like the X6 I have because when I bought it I was told a lot of things that now I find out can not happen.
I have looked at another one for trade but cant get a discount on a new one. Does anyone get a BMW discount? You know like GM and Ford plans? I notice BMW is not offering any discounts on X6's.

No discount whatsoever. Maybe a couple of grands. X6 is still in high demand and limited production.

Very different story here in the UK, I bought my X35d last year and got 12% discount. I have recently heard that discounts of 15% are now achievable.
Cars are not selling here in the UK as the economic crisis deepens.

ok I'll have to bite on this.. you don't like the X6 you have but you're going to buy another one. As far as I know the only thing the 09 models have over 08 is $3k more, no spare(USA), maybe new idrive (not looking to start that controversy again) and leather dash option.

No spare either. Got about 1.500 Euros discount which I spent on differences between exchange rates to pay for the car in local currency. So zero discount after all.

Deda, those grey rims where a bonus or you payed extra?

Actually, my '09 that I just took delivery of has a spare but I ordered it with one and it is now a $150 option. I must say that I love the leather dash! It is worth the price as it adds a much more luxurious feel to the interior. Some of the other package were changed a little too because cold weather pkg now requires you have heated rear seats which I didn't have before and you cannot get Nappa Leather seats without the leather dash which I had before so this increased the cost some because Nappa Leather seats package was $1100 more than before.

I have an all-black interior (including ceiling) but not leather. Love the cushioning on the doors where I rest my left arm.

Are you saying the dealer will not sell 08 at 08 prices?
If you can drive away from Dallas, why don't you try the dealership in Austin.

New iDrive in X6 will not arrive until 2010 production. BMW has pushed this out into the September production run. That's part of the reason why I changed my order from the X6 to the new 750.

The ability for a dealer to offer discounts is based on supply and demand.

If you live in an area hit by the economy moreso than others, everything is being discounted.

So yes you can get a truck cheaper, but in your area it will also depreciate faster. It is a catch 22.
