Wax on plastic trim

What do you use to get the white wax residue off the black plastic trim?

They sell special remover for that, you can get it at autogeek.com , also I've heard you can use peanut butter but it's messy and I hate wasting food! .... .

I've used simple green diluted 50/50 and a brush. If it doesn't come off I make the solution a little stronger and go from there.

Those might work ^

I'm a small scale mobile detailer. Deal with wax on plastics all too often.

I use an all purpose cleaner on mr. Clean Magic erasers. You can get those anywhere. Cvs, 7-11's, supermarkets ect...

For a cleaner a little dish soap would probably do the job. The erasers do most of the work. They have a little ammonia in them and the pad is just abrasive enough to scrub but not scratch. I'd give that a shot.

Peakrunner,
Thanks for the info, I just received the Jax Wax Super Blue, wiped it on with a sponge applicator and it removed it perfectly.
Also looks awesome on the plastic trim.
Fast and easy!
Thanks again
John

I just tried this amazing stuff called Wurth Rubber Care and not only did it get the wax off but it also made the black plastic look like was new. The only down fall is it was $20.00 for a 10 oz can but "wurth" it. LoL
