What is this in the center counsel?

What is this? Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm not in the car and I'm bored.
I guess I can't upload a picture. But it is the thing that looks like a old cordless phone charger.

It's an old cordless phone charger. BMW made special adapters for different phones. Your phone went in the adapter then in the charger thing and it hooked up to the car. The E70 ones don't have newer phone adapters but I'm pretty sure they still have something similar on the new cars also before the wireless charging thing in the G30. You can take it out...lift it up and underneath are the screws. I've been too lazy to take mine out.
